For a safer, cleaner, greener Mt. Washington

Let's make our neighborhood more resilient

My Vision

My candidacy for a Mt. Washington representative seat on the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council (ASNC) is fueled by a dedication to serving my community with integrity and a commitment to leaving it better than I found it. From weekly litter pick-ups in my spare time to reporting illegal dumping and graffiti using MyLA311, I am already committed to making our community sparkle for residents and visitors to enjoy.

My vision for Mt. Washington and Arroyo Seco communities isn't some utopia, it's common sense: working streetlights; clean streets; safe transportation alternatives; smooth, connected sidewalks; water wise native plants; street trees for shade; accessible public spaces and amenities; fire smart neighborhoods. Join me in this journey towards a Mt. Washington that everyone can be proud of.

My mission is to focus on local, common sense issues where ASNC has significant influence. I will bring regular attention to important issues of neighborhood concern like our broken sidewalks and crumbling roads, gaps in our bicycle and pedestrian network, broken streetlights, illegal dumping, graffiti, urban tree canopy maintenance, public open space expansion, housing affordability, homelessness, and fire prevention.

With your support, I aim to highlight these and other local quality of life issues for Mt. Washington residents and stakeholders in our fight for solutions to make it easier and more enjoyable to live in our beautiful corner of Los Angeles.

Priorities

My key priorities include advocating for roadway safety, taking action for safer, cleaner neighborhoods, and supporting the planting and maintenance of trees and native plants to benefit everyone in Mt. Washington and Northeast Los Angeles.

Safe Streets

Making sure our roadways are safe for everyone.

We need additional safe mobility options to get around Northeast LA besides driving. Let's push to prioritize closing active transportation network gaps, from bike lanes to multimodal paths, trails, and sidewalks. One of my top priorities is to advocate for safe streets that are comfortable for everyone, whether you are walking, bicycling, rolling, taking transit, or driving.

Clean Communities

Leaving it better than we found it.

We need more opportunities to keep our neighborhoods clean and litter free. I support more regular neighborhood litter pick-up and will actively promote the use of MyLA311 to report illegal dumping, graffiti, and other concerns. Together we will keep our community clean and welcoming.

Resilient Residents

Maintaining and expanding our urban tree canopy and natural public spaces.

We need to combat climate change and the urban heat island effect, while making sure our communities are protected from wild fire risk. I will continue to support the planting and maintenance of native trees and plants to enhance our neighborhoods while supporting fire safety, urban cooling, tree canopy expansion, and wildlife habitat protection.
